WHAT WE DO

Herb Lewis is the founder of Investing For Tomorrow. He has a degree in Economics from the University of the Witwatersrand (WITS), he then pursued additional studies in computer science, is a fellow of the Life Management Institute in the United States and holds the Certified Financial Planner designation. Membership of the Financial Planning Institute at the Certified Financial Planner level is only possible after completion of a post-graduate qualification in financial planning and after having been declared “fit and proper” by the Financial Planning Institute of South Africa. Herb has been involved in the investment industry for the past 25 years, initially in the United States for eight years followed by a five year period at Investec, in both cases in a financial product development and design role.
Herb has extensive experience in the range of investment and retirement products and the underlying life insurance and unit trust funds in the South African marketplace and is therefore well positioned to provide both an advisory service and educational workshops. In July 2004 he identified an urgent need to present courses on investment and retirement planning to company staff and other groups of people.

"Choosing the appropriate unit trust fund is the key to maximising investment returns, and the more informed the investor the more likely this is to happen."
Tayla Law is a recent law graduate from the University of the Witwatersrand (WITS), she is currently gaining practical experience under Herb Lewis’s supervision, with the goal of establishing a successful career as a financial advisor. Tayla applies fastidious attention to detail in her daily work, has an unparalleled work ethic and an inherent and deep sense of responsibility that is so necessary given the importance of her work in safe-guarding and growing investors’ life savings.
